We Are The Planting Of The Lord Part 3

Most Christians don’t know if they are even going to heaven from one week to the next. Am I going or not going? Read Hebrews 10 it talks about the Old Testament sacrifices. It talks about the worshipers in Israel could never become perfect with the sacrifice of a bull or a goat, that they had to do it everyday. The priest stood daily taking care of the sins of the people and the people would bring an animal year after year for their sins. Now listen that sacrifice of the blood of bulls and goats could never make the worshipers perfect. Look at Hebrews 10:12-13 says “But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever; sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”

Child of God, He made you perfect  and He made you righteous. Anytime anyone tries to inject thoughts contrary to that your righteous indignation needs to rise up and shut those thoughts down and say wait a minute, by One Man’s obedience I have been made righteous. The devil doesn’t want you to know that you are righteous. If he can get your identity then you will never produce like God wants you to produce. It will never happen because you will never be good enough and you will never measure up.

Over in Matthew 7:16-18 “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. I know many of you have heard this taught, that you need to get busy and start bearing some good fruit and quit being a bad tree and that if you will produce the right fruit then you will be a good tree. Folks listen we only have to use a little common sense, I don’t care how good of an apple tree I have, it can’t produce peaches. Jesus isn’t talking about the fruit, he’s talking about the tree. He’s talking about our identity. When we are understand that we are the sons of God, then we will produce the fruit of a son of God automaticly.

You say, oh Pastor I just really couldn’t pray for a sick person on the street. The reason you can’t do it is because you don’t really know who you are. Could Jesus do it? Yes! I wonder why? It’s because He knew He was the Son of God. One of the signs of a believer is that they will lay hands on the sick. Do you know why Christians don’t do it? It’s because their afraid the person is not going to get healed and that they are going to look bad. Christianity is not about us, it’s all about Him and what He has created us to be.

Christians get born again, washed in the blood and made righteous and the Bible says over in 2 Corinthians 5, that He that knew no sin God made to be sin for you so that you could be made the righteousness of God in Him. Once I understood that and my mind was renewed to that I never got up thinking well how am I going to sin today. I also don’t get up thinking how am I going to be righteous and is God going to hear me? I know He does, I know He loves me, I know His ears are open to me when I get up, and I know He’s walking with me and ready to show Himself strong on my behalf, because I know that I am a good tree.
