It’s a true statement that “without Him you are nothing,” but you are not without Him! He said He would never leave you nor forsake you.
I am not encouraging arrogance or cockiness, but at what point do we say, “God you did a perfect job of delivering us from Satan and sin?”
Do you ever really take the time to just meditate on what God’s word says about the Christian, or are you one of those who stay so focused on Israel, and their short comings, that you can’t see what the blood of God’s own Son has accomplished? Look at this New Testament verse in 2 Cor. 5:21.
For He (God) made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Every Christian believes the first line of that verse. God made Jesus to be sin, even though Jesus never sinned.
And line two says that that same God made you and me righteous, even though we have never done anything righteous.
Now look at this verse in Rom.10:2-3
For I bear them (Israel) witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
Self-righteousness is what we establish by what we do and don’t do. But God’s righteousness is based upon what Jesus did. Our job is to simply accept that we are righteous by faith. Faith in what Jesus did, not faith upon what we do or don’t do.
To the person who has accepted Jesus it is no longer a question of heaven or hell, it’s simply how much of hell will we allow in this heavenly mind that we have?
I love the way the writer of Hebrews reveals this revelation:
Heb. 10:1-2 says, The blood of bulls and goats could never make people perfect
For the law,………………. can never with the same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach (Israel) perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered?
But when we drop down to verses 12-14 it says:
But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Wouldn’t it honor Him more if we would believe what the blood of Jesus actually accomplished, rather than living by feelings and emotions?
At one time you were a sinner saved by grace, but now you are the righteous sons and daughters of the most High God. Your sins have been put away and you have been restored to the original place of honor that God created for Adam to walk in at the beginning.
Righteousness means “right standing” with God, as though you had never sinned.
One million prayers, one million trips to the altar or one million sermons will never improve on what the blood of Jesus has already done!
Why don’t you stop struggling and just start believing?
