Ephesians 1:19-23 “What is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us (the amplified bible says: in us and for us) who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all thing under His feet and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”
How many of you are part of the Church? His church which is His body. Who’s body? The body of Christ. We are the body of Christ. If I follow Christians around, I ought to see what I saw in Christ. What did I see in Christ? I saw Christ healing people wherever He went.
Every time you hear a revelation of Jesus Christ, it imparts that grace (favor) from God and you have to gird up your mind for action. Whether it is coming and getting a healing or a different revelation like this right here go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature and lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, different revelations but they bring the same grace (favor). They both still require the same action of the mind.
James put it this way, you say you have faith, show me. I’ll show you my faith by my works. In other words James is saying my faith causes me to do something. My faith doesn’t just cause me to preach on Sunday mornings. I’ve used my faith at the grocery store, and I’ve used my faith on the street corners. My faith will work wherever the Holy Ghost is moving me and I’m always trying to hear Him moving me.
A lot of people say, well if the Holy Ghost tells me I’ll do it. It’s just the strangest thing, the Holy Ghost never tells them. I promise you if you go home and pray, Lord I’m going to the grocery store this afternoon open a door for me to share the gospel and pray for somebody out there, I’m listening and I’m going to hear you Lord. I guarantee you will hear Him. It’s not that He doesn’t speak, it’s that we don’t want to hear. We are worried about what we are going to look like, what somebody’s going to think about us, how we will sound, we will look stupid, what if I pray for someone and they don’t get healed. What if they do? What if I tell someone about Jesus and they don’t accept Him? Well, they will go to hell. But what if they do accept Him?
I want to give you one last revelation. Philippians 2:13, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. It is God who is working in you right now, God is working in you to do His will and to work His good pleasure. What is His will? It’s very simple, it’s on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus said, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Are there sick people in heaven? No! Are there depressed people in heaven? No! Then it’s God’s will that there not be any on earth. Are there any people in heaven that are possessed and controlled by demons? No! Then it’s God’s will that there be none on earth either and God is in you working His will. Folks, there is nothing boring about Christianity, if we will just live it and do it.
