Free From Condemnation Part 1

I honestly don’t believe that,  most Christians or non-Christians have ever heard the gospel. Christianity in it’s simplest form and it’s not simple, but this is it, that God is not angry with you about your sins and He never ever will be angry with you about your sins. That’s Christianity right there, that’s all you have to tell anybody. I promise if you tell them that, that will open a door and they will say, say what, what do you mean? Then all you will have to say is God took all your sins and nailed them to a cross in the body of Jesus Christ, and He will never ever remember your sins anymore. And then all they have to do is say, hey I’d like that. It’s that simple.

In Romans in 7:15, the apostle Paul says this,  when I would do good, evil is present. People often  say, see there even Paul couldn’t live victorious he wanted to do good but,  he couldn’t do good. Well, that is ridiculous in my opinion.  If you read all of chapter 7 in Romans, what Paul is talking about is something called the law of Moses and that’s what he is dealing with, under the law of Moses he wanted to do good, but he just couldn’t.

Over in Romans 7:22-25, Paul said for I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. If you will read the entire chapter, you’ll see we have the law of Moses and the law of God, you’ve got two different laws there. Next he says, I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God through–Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

So now we have the law of Moses, the law of God, the law of the flesh and the law of the mind he goes on to say, in chapter 8, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk, according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. So now we have another one.

We have the law of Moses, the law of God, the law of the flesh, the law of the mind, the law of sin and death, and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. He calls the law of Moses the law of sin, the law of the flesh and he says there is condemnation in that law, but in the law of God which also is referred to as the law of the mind and the law of the Spirit there is no condemnation. He’s bringing out two different things.

Notice that in the law of God, there is no condemnation. The word no in the Greek means none. There’s none, now you may be living under condemnation, but it is not coming from the law of the Spirit of the Life in Christ Jesus, it’s coming through the law of Moses and the law of the flesh, it’s called the law of sin and death, because condemnation will produce sin and death.
